Watch ACC & SEC Games and Plan Gem Mining Excursions Using Frontier Communications

Blue Ridge Outdoors, an outdoor adventure magazine, voted Franklin, North Carolina as the top small town in 2016. Its biggest claim to fame, however, is gem mining.

Due to its proximity to the Eastern Continental Divide where the watersheds of the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean meet, creating layers of earth that keep getting lifted and turned over like tilling soil, Franklin is known as the “Gem Capital of the World.” People from all over the world flock to Franklin to mine rubies and sapphires, and attend gem and mineral shows, like the Mother’s Day Gemboree.

High-speed Internet from Frontier in Franklin comes in handy when planning your gem mining excursion or your hike in the Smoky Mountains. You can research the mines ahead of time to see which ones are better for rubies or sapphires and check the weather so you know whether to pack sunscreen, or a hat and gloves. High-Speed Internet from Frontier is also useful for gauging rainfall, which can give you a good indication of what the waterfalls around Franklin will be like.

Franklin sits roughly an hour or so away from Clemson, South Carolina, and about two hours from Knoxville, TN and Athens, GA. With nearby ACC and SEC powerhouses including Clemson, the University of Tennessee and Georgia, residents of Franklin can catch all the action with DISH Network TV from Frontier.

Still trying to get service. On the day of install I was notified they needed me to supply proof of residence ownership which I did the same day within an hour after I got the call on Oct 12th. I followed up via email with no reply. I called Oct 16th only to find out that dept is closed on Sunday. Hopefully I'll hear something tomorrow as I am only here at this address until Oct 26. Thanks hopefully the lines of communication and response time will improve.
